Returning to Play
After a healthy and successful 2021 season, we are excited to plan 2022 with health and safety once again first in our list of priorities for the season. The State of Washington classifies baseball and softball as “moderate risk sports” for the transmission of COVID-19 and has specific guidance for restart and recommendations for safely conducting these activities. NGSSA will be adhering to all state on local health and safety recommendations as outlined below and in our league-wide COVID policies and procedures.
The NGSSA is a local and recreational slowpitch softball league, dedicated to a for-fun learning experience for girls in the Northshore area. It is our belief that team sports are important part of confidence building for every girl.
We accept all skill levels and abilities, from girls in PreK through the 12th grade.
NGSSA was founded in the Northshore Area near Seattle in 1971 by a group of volunteers with the vision to provide the opportunity for girls of all ages in our community to play and enjoy softball. NGSSA is still staffed by volunteers who enjoy working to continue this tradition. For 48 years, thousands of girls have participated in the NGSSA.
